The Franchise Model

CSL is organized around city-based franchise teams. Each franchise represents a major Pakistani city and fields a full squad of both men and women players. City identity, genuine rivalry, and local pride make every tie matter beyond the scoreboard. Franchise owners hold long-term stakes in their teams, ensuring stability and sustained investment in player development.

How Teams Win

Each tie between two franchise teams consists of a series of head-to-head singles matches drawn from both the men’s and women’s squads. The franchise that wins more individual matches takes the tie. All matches follow standard PSA (Professional Squash Association) rules: best of five games, each game scored to eleven points under the PAR (Point-a-Rally) system. The team with the superior combined performance wins; individual brilliance counts, but so does squad depth.

The Season

The CSL season opens with a full round-robin league phase in which every franchise faces every other franchise. The highest-finishing teams advance to a knockout playoff stage, with the top seeds earning home-advantage ties. The season concludes with the CSL Final, which crowns the champion city. Full season fixtures and venue details are announced ahead of each season.

Standings

Points are awarded for each tie win. Where two or more franchises finish level on points at the close of the league phase, match-win percentage serves as the primary tiebreaker. Standings are updated and published after every round so that fans and franchises can track the race for the playoffs in real time.
